Leases for temporary housing can also be arranged while you are house hunting. In general, a property will lease for approximately 1% per month of a home's total value. In other words, expect to pay $3500.00 per month for a $350,000.00 house. During the "season" (Thanksgiving to Easter) expect to pay triple that amount for a 2-6 month lease, furnished. There is a shortage of good rental properties in this area -- good ones go fast. Chris can e-mail you pictures, floor plans and descriptions so you can feel confident committing to a lease sight-unseen if necessary. If you are thinking of leasing a condo, it is important to understand that most require an application and a personal interview before you can move in. Some allow pets.
